MARES is a dedicated animal welfare organization with a heart for the overlooked. While our core mission centers on the rescue, rehabilitation, and care of donkeys, our compassion extends to small animals in need — especially feral cats.

MARES also runs a focused program for feral cats. Using the humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) approach, we safely catch feral cats, have them spayed/neutered and vaccinated by qualified vets, then return them to managed community colonies where they can live healthier lives. For kittens and friendlier cats, we run a well-vetted adoption program to place them in loving, responsible homes. Every adoption is carefully screened to ensure the animals are safe, loved, and well taken care of for life.
